My student enjoy doing the stepping stone activity. It aims to practice the last 10-15 words we learnt at class and to make students have fun by playing a game. I ask my students to put aside their desks and sit in abig circle. Inside the circle
I randomly scatter the vocabulary flash cards , both word and picture cards, inside the circle. Then I divide the class into two groups, explain that the cards are the river and they have to pass it in order to get to the other shore by jumping over the cards.Each time I ask one volunteer from each group to come and jump over the cards that I name. on each shore stands one group, we play it untill both groups chanbe their places.
I say the words on English and they have to say the meaning and then jump over the cards so they can get to the other shore. Or I say the translation in L1 and they have to say the words in L2 and then find it on the floor and jump.
They can consult and help each other if there is a need.
